Churches are a dime a dozen in Tuscaloosa and Northport. There are countless denominations with, of course, Southern Baptist, Presbyterian, Methodist, Episcopal, Wesleyan, Jehovah's Witnesses and

First Presbyterian Deutsch
German Worship services are led by Reverend Thomas Herwig on the first Sunday of each month at 11:00 a.m. in the Westervelt-Warner Chapel (unless otherwise indicated on the calendar on their
website).
An informal gathering with coffee and cookies follows each Deutsch service.
Begun in December 2008, First Presbyterian Deutsch is a project not only for Germans, but also for those who speak and understand German, or who are simply interested in German culture and
language.
In addition to worship, First Presbyterian Deutsch offers all pastoral duties including confirmation classes, pastoral care and hospital visitation, German-speaking children’s afternoons, topical
discussion groups (including Bible study groups), and social and cultural activities.
Everyone is invited to take part in the planning Workgroup, which normally meets at FPC the Tuesday evening following a worship service, at 7:00 p.m.
